August Race Day

Geelong was supposed to host the next round of the Victorian Inter-Club Challenge but due to COVID restrictions the event had to be cancelled (hopefully to be rescheduled some time towards the end of the year) and a club day was run instead.

There was a solid turnout and was great to be out and racing again after a long absence.

Mini had a strong turnout but they were no match for Grant Davies taking P1 from all 4 rounds, Paul Iversen and Joel Ricketts battled hard all day with Paul securing 2nd by 1 point.

21.5 equally had a strong turnout with father and son Ricketts battling for honors all day with son Joel having bragging rights followed by Grant Davies in 3rd.

Trucks had a tight battle between Grant Davies and Matt Durbidge through all 4 rounds but Grant took P1 on a countback, Paul Iversen took 3rd.

13.5 had entertaining battles throughout the day between the wise owl Nigel George and the foxy Nic Michaelides with Nigel taking P1 with consistent runs, Steve Vakalis came in 3rd in his Serpent.
